New Access Center Brings Help to Deltona’s Neighbors In Need
(Deltona, FL) – Community Life Center Outreach Services Inc., a 501©3 non-profit organization serving West Volusia’s neighbors in need, will hold a Grand Opening of The Access Center office in its facilities on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The public and media are invited to attend the grand opening and meet The Access Center Director Karen Alicea. Visitors will see the facilities while learning more about the important services being offered and the increased access to assistance it will provide to residents in Deltona and the surrounding areas of West Volusia County who face transportation challenges.
“There are so many people in west Volusia who lack access to transportation. This great location will allow us to serve southwest Volusia residents who may not be able to reach other assistance programs in the county,” Alicea said. “More than just help navigating public assistance programs, we work to really assess families’ full scale of needs to ultimately help them get back on their feet. We offer everything from help with public assistance applications, to job seeker assistance to countless other resources for help.”
The Access Center offered through Community Life Center and its facilities provides application assistance (assistencia para aplicar) with:
- Food Stamps
- Cash Assistance
- Medicare Programs
- Communications assistance
- Prescription savings
- Transportation referrals
- Community resource referrals
Applicants receive one-on-one personal assistance with their applications for public programs through The Access Center. Open office hours and appointments are available at The Access Center offices in Community Life Center’s operating facility Tuesday through Thursday each week from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Community Life Center and The Access Center are located at the Pine Ridge Fellowship – Normandy Campus, 1045 E. Normandy Blvd., Deltona, FL 32725. Votran access to the Center is available using route 21 and 22.
